How overweight do I have to be in order to be on the Appetite Suppressant Diet?
Our doctors will look at your BMI (Body Mass Index) to determine if you qualify to take the appetite suppressant. As a general rule your BMI should be above 25 in order to take appetite suppressants.
Does the price include the appetite suppressant?
Yes. At Ideal, we prescribe an all inclusive program.
Is the appetite suppressant safe to use?
Yes! You will be monitored by the doctor the entire time you are taking the appetite suppressant. As with all medications, there are risk factors involved. Any risk factors will be discussed with you at your initial visit.
MEAL REPLACEMENT PROGRAM*
The Low Calorie Diet (LCD) is a high-protien , nutritionally controlled plan the doctor will prescribe for you and monitor closely. The Modified Diet is the same plan, but adjusted to include a calorie-specific dinner that may include your favorite foods.
After an initial mini-examination by the practitioner, an eating plan will be prescribed for you based on your estimated BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). How much weight can I expect to lose?
The typical weight loss is 3-5 pounds the first week and up to 20 pounds the first month*. Of course, individual weight loss may vary. Compliance with the program is critical to your success.
Do I have to exercise on the program?
An important component to any form of weight management program is physical activity. Most weight loss occurs with a decrease in caloric intake. Incorporating increased physical activity is most helpful in preventing weight regain. In addition, physical activity has numerous benefits that will improve your overall wellness. We encourage our patients to start slowly, and gradually increase the intensity of their exercise program.
Do I have to be extremely overweight to participate in the program?
NO. Our team of medical professionals works closely with everyone to best assess their individual needs. Whether you are 5 pounds or 100 pounds overweight, we can help!
How long do I have to be on the diet? Do I sign a contract?
The length of time you are on the LCD/Modified diet is up to you and the practitioner. Everyone loses weight at different rates. You can stay on the diet plan until you reach your goal weight! There are no contracts involved.
